A quick operational test of the next comic I'll be making.

Actual art styles may differ. Full deployment on February 14.

Fuck Scott Adams.

edit: Though the cover art may change, this comic will be primarily covering the place where many of us spend a third of our lives, often comatose and drooling... the office. However, I'd prefer to approach it from a much more positive and affirming angle than many others.

There will be newdities because that shit is funny. The young and unsophisticated should get gone.

dammit man, I keep forgetting that you're the first one to knock out fan art for this heap... I'm gonna push that one of these days, when there's actually coffee in the scene

Why did you mention Scott Adams? What's the deal?
lirvilas 31st Jan 2020, 7:30 PM edit delete reply
Dilbert is too cynical for my tastes, and I'm not merely talking about his characters/subject matter. His ugly art appears pretty much designed to ride the smoking wreckage of the American newspaper right down into Davy Jones's locker. It does not help that people within my family seem to think that Dilbert is hilarious and because I have worked and continue to work in an office environment I must find it funny as well... I've repeatedly taken Dilbert hardcover books and daily calendars and thrown them in the garbage unopened.

This work will cover similar topics.

"In matters of taste there can be no dispute."

I enjoy Dilbert comics, and I think Scott Adams is a very interesting person in real life. But I won't ask you to change your mind.

Thanks for explaining the comment; now I get it.

My long sojourn into fast & nasty greyscale has hopefully paid off with the ability to make backgrounds a little less painful?

I, too, love coffee and hate Scott Adams

As mentioned elsewhere, I do not appreciate his full-throated cynicism about work and politics and art.

I will go on the record as saying such.
